S. Korean Bond Yields Experience Mixed Changes in April 2025

Seoul: South Korean bond yields showed mixed movements in early morning trading on April 14, 2025, with some short-term yields dipping slightly, while longer-term yields saw a modest rise.

According to Yonhap News Agency, the 1-year Treasury Bond (TB) yield decreased by 0.1 basis points, settling at 2.512% from the previous session's 2.513%. Meanwhile, the 2-year TB yield increased by 1.1 basis points to 2.470%, up from 2.459% in the last session. The 3-year TB yield also experienced an upward movement, rising by 0.7 basis points to 2.418% from the previous 2.411%.

The 10-year TB yield saw a notable increase of 1.4 basis points, moving to 2.710%, compared to 2.696% in the previous session. Similarly, the 2-year Monetary Stabilization Bond (MSB) yield rose by 1.0 basis point, reaching 2.423% from the prior 2.413%.

In corporate bonds, the 3-year Corporate Bond (CB) with an AA- rating edged up by 0.7 basis points, recorded at 3.003% from the previous 2.996%.
