Seoul: Government and industry experts from South Korea, the United States, and Japan convened in Seoul and Tokyo this week to focus on quantum industrial security, as reported by the State Department.

According to Yonhap News Agency, the meetings aimed to strengthen cooperation in securing critical technologies among the three nations.

The trilateral workshop took place in Seoul on Wednesday and Thursday, followed by a session in Tokyo on Friday. Participants shared best practices and discussed strategies to protect their "quantum ecosystems" from threats including physical, cyber, and intellectual property risks. These workshops underscored the significance of trilateral collaboration in safeguarding innovation and fortifying the quantum ecosystem, which promises to enhance economic prosperity and human well-being.

Washington has been increasing its cooperation with Asian allies amid a growing Sino-U.S. rivalry over issues such as maritime security, trade, and technological leadership. This collaboration in quantum industrial security is part of broader efforts to address these challenges.
