According to Yonhap News Agency, Lee underscored South Korea's transformation from a trading nation into a cultural nation, insisting that foreigners in the country should not experience any form of unfair treatment. Earlier in the week, Lee expressed concern over wage arrears cases involving foreign workers and urged the justice ministry to consider measures such as deferring their departure until overdue payments are settled.
