South korea: South Korea on Tuesday condemned all acts threatening U.N. peacekeepers in Lebanon, following the deaths and injuries of Indonesian personnel in the area. The foreign ministry released a statement after two peacekeepers were killed in a vehicle explosion in southern Lebanon on Monday, with an Indonesian soldier losing his life in a separate projectile explosion. Two additional soldiers sustained injuries.

According to Yonhap News Agency, the ministry spokesperson, Park Il, expressed deep concern regarding the recent casualties among Indonesian personnel serving in the U.N. Interim Force in Lebanon (UNIFIL). Park Il emphasized the nation's strong condemnation of any actions jeopardizing the safety and security of UNIFIL, including the Dongmyeong Unit, which is the South Korean peacekeeping contingent deployed in Lebanon.

The ministry highlighted that attacks against UNIFIL are violations of international humanitarian law and relevant U.N. Security Council resolutions. The spokesperson urged for complete adherence to these obligations in all circumstances to ensure the safety of peacekeepers in the region.
