Da nang: South Korea and Vietnam are set to convene for the 10th meeting of their joint trade remedy committee to discuss pressing trade issues, including Vietnam's current restrictions on South Korean steel products. This meeting is scheduled to take place in Da Nang, Vietnam, as communicated by Seoul's Ministry of Trade, Industry and Resources.

According to Yonhap News Agency, the agenda will include sharing updates on trade policies and examining ongoing import control measures. A key point of discussion will be South Korea's request for Vietnam to adopt a cautious approach when considering anti-dumping tariffs on Korean steel products. The request is based on the close economic relations between the two nations and the significant impact these steel products have on Vietnam's economy.

Currently, Vietnam has imposed restrictions on four types of steel products originating from South Korea, including those classified as high-value. The outcome of these discussions could potentially influence future trade dynamics between the two countries.
