Riyadh: Military officials from South Korea and Saudi Arabia convened for discussions aimed at enhancing collaboration in military training and the arms industry, as reported by South Korea's Joint Chiefs of Staff (JCS).

According to Yonhap News Agency, a total of 21 officials from both nations participated in the regular consultative meeting held in Riyadh on Thursday. The previous meeting of this kind occurred in Seoul in 2023. The discussions covered a wide spectrum of topics, including military exchange programs, training and education initiatives, and cooperation within the arms industry.

Lt. Gen. Son Jeong-hwan, who led the South Korean delegation, emphasized the importance of military and arms industry cooperation with Saudi Arabia. He noted that this partnership is vital for Middle East security and for both countries to progress as future-oriented strategic partners.
