The hague: South Korea and the Netherlands have reached an agreement to enhance their cooperation in advanced industries such as the semiconductor and quantum technology sectors. This collaboration is part of efforts to address the ongoing global supply chain restructuring, as announced by Seoul's industry ministry.

According to Yonhap News Agency, the agreement was formalized through a letter of intent signed during a biennial joint innovation committee meeting held in The Hague. The Ministry of Trade, Industry and Resources emphasized that this bilateral cooperation is anticipated to enhance the industrial competitiveness of both nations amidst a growing global tech war.

"South Korea and the Netherlands have consistently expanded their collaboration in industrial technology development over the past decade," stated Choi Yeon-woo, a ministry official responsible for industrial technology, in a press release. He expressed hope that this recent joint innovation committee meeting would mark the beginning of another decade of productive cooperation.

Since 2016, South Korea and the Netherlands have undertaken more than 40 joint research and development projects aimed at advancing technological cooperation between the two countries.
