S. Korea and China Convene in Beijing for Strategic ICT Dialogue

Beijing: Government officials from South Korea and China met in Beijing to engage in policy exchanges and expand cooperation in the field of information communication technologies (ICT), Seoul's science ministry said. This initiative marks the fifth strategic dialogue between South Korea's science ministry and China's ministry of industry and information technology.

According to Yonhap News Agency, this dialogue follows a memorandum of understanding (MOU) on digital technology cooperation signed during the South Korea-China summit held in January. This meeting is significant as it revives discussions that were last held eight years ago in Seoul on December 10, 2018.

In addition to policy exchanges, the two countries agreed to broaden their cooperation in the area of electromagnetic waves. This step is in response to advancements in communication technology, as noted by the science ministry. This dialogue signifies a continued commitment to strengthening technological ties between the two nations.
