Rose’s ‘APT.’ Sets Record as Fastest K-Pop Song to Reach 500 Million Views.

Seoul: The music video for "APT." by BLACKPINK's Rose, in collaboration with American pop singer Bruno Mars, has surpassed 500 million views on YouTube. This achievement marks it as the fastest K-pop song ever to reach this milestone, according to the singer's agency, The Black Label. According to Yonhap News Agency, the video achieved this feat in less than 48 days after its release, setting a new record for the fastest pace by any K-pop song. Released on October 18, the song is a prerelease from "rosie," Rose's highly anticipated first solo full-length album, which is set to be released this Friday. The track, which features an upbeat pop-punk sound, draws inspiration from a popular Korean drinking game known as the "apartment game." The song's catchy chorus prominently features the word "apartment," pronounced as "apateu," a Korean abbreviation, which has contributed to its international popularity. "APT." has also made significant strides on global music charts, reaching No. 8 on the U.S. Billboard's H ot 100 and climbing to No. 2 on the British Official Singles Chart Top 100 last month.
