Los angeles: BLACKPINK's Rose and tracks from the hit Netflix animation "Kpop Demon Hunters" have dominated the U.S. Billboard's various year-end charts, underscoring the genre's global appeal.
According to Yonhap News Agency, Billboard announced on Tuesday (U.S. time) that "APT.," Rose's smash-hit collaboration single with Bruno Mars, placed ninth on the 2025 year-end Hot 100 chart. Meanwhile, BTS member Jimin's "Who" came in at 57th. The success of these tracks highlights the increasing influence of K-pop on the global music scene.
The original soundtrack for "Kpop Demon Hunters" also made a significant impact, landing seven songs on the chart. This success is attributed to the global popularity of the animated film. Among these, "Golden" ranked highest at No. 25, followed by "Your Idol" at No. 54 and "Soda Pop" at No. 61. Other tracks such as "How It's Done," "What It Sounds Like," "Free," and "Takedown" also secured spots on the chart, showcasing the film's wide appeal.
In addition to the singles, the year-end Billboard 200 albums ranking saw the "Kpop Demon Hunters" soundtrack reach No. 13. Rose's solo album "rosie" secured the 112th place, with Stray Kids' "Karma" and "Hop" charting at No. 128 and No. 157, respectively. Katseye's "Beautiful Chaos" also made the list, ranking at No. 182.
The fictional girl group Huntr/x from "Kpop Demon Hunters" achieved notable success, placing 24th on Billboard's Top Artists list. This position put them ahead of Rose at No. 44, the in-film boy band Saja Boys at No. 57, Stray Kids at No. 69, and Jimin at No. 81. Furthermore, Rose's "APT." topped Billboard's year-end Global 200 chart, cementing her status as a leading figure in the music industry.
