Rose’s ‘APT.’ Maintains No. 2 Position on British Official Singles Chart

London: "APT.," the latest single from BLACKPINK member Rose, held its No. 2 position on the British Official Singles Chart Top 100 for the third consecutive week. Despite speculation the song featuring global pop icon Bruno Mars might clinch the top spot this week, it remained in second place just behind Gracie Abrams' "That's So True," according to the latest chart released Friday (British time).

According to Yonhap News Agency, "APT." initially debuted at No. 4 in October last year, experiencing a roller-coaster journey on the chart. After dropping to a low of No. 28, the single made an impressive comeback, climbing to the No. 2 spot and holding steady for three weeks. The track is a prerelease single from Rose's first solo full-length album, "rosie," which dropped on December 6.

The upbeat pop-punk track is inspired by a popular Korean drinking game known as the "apartment game" and has gained international popularity with its catchy chorus that repeatedly features the word "apartment," pronounced as "apateu," a Korean abbreviation of the word.

In related chart news, Jimin's "Who" ranked 13th in its 20th week on the chart, dropping eight spots from the previous week. "Who" is a hip-hop and R and B genre song depicting a poignant situation where the speaker misses someone he has never met before. It is the lead track of the BTS member's second solo album, "Muse," which explores the singer's search for inspiration.
