Rose Tops Billboard’s Global Charts for Third Consecutive Week with ‘APT.’

SEOUL: BLACKPINK's Rose has claimed U.S. Billboard's global charts for the third consecutive week with "APT.," her collaborative single with American pop star Bruno Mars. Billboard announced on social media platform X that the song has maintained the top position on both the Billboard Global 200 and the Billboard Global Excl. U.S. charts, following its debut atop these two weekly charts. According to Yonhap News Agency, "APT.," which released on October 18, is a prerelease from Rose's eagerly awaited first solo full-length album, titled "rosie," expected to launch on December 6. The track, which blends upbeat pop-punk elements, draws inspiration from a popular Korean drinking game, the "apartment game." Its catchy chorus prominently features the word "apartment," pronounced as "apateu," a Korean abbreviation, helping it gain international traction. During the latest charting period, the song garnered 162.2 million streams, marking a 22 percent decrease from the previous week, as reported by Billboard. Meanw hile, digital song sales were recorded at 14,000, a decline of 21 percent from a week ago. The digital single has also achieved the No. 8 spot on the Hot 100, while its music video, showcasing both Rose and Mars, has surpassed 300 million views in just 22 days and six hours. This achievement marks the fastest video by a K-pop soloist to reach such a milestone, according to Rose's agency, The Black Label.
