Rose and ‘Golden’ from KPop Demon Hunters Garner Grammy Nominations for Song of the Year

Los angeles: "APT.," BLACKPINK member Rose's collaborative single with Bruno Mars, and "Golden" from the original soundtrack of the Netflix animated film "KPop Demon Hunters," have been nominated for Song of the Year at the 68th Grammy Awards. The Recording Academy, responsible for the awards, unveiled the 2026 nominations spanning 95 categories for the Grammy Awards, scheduled to take place on Feb. 1 at Crypto.com Arena in Los Angeles.

According to Yonhap News Agency, Rose's "APT." has been nominated for Song of the Year and Record of the Year, both part of the "Big-Six" general field categories. It is also in the running for Best Pop Duo/Group Performance. Meanwhile, "Golden" from "KPop Demon Hunters" has secured nominations for Song of the Year, Best Pop Duo/Group Performance, Best Song Written for Visual Media, and Best Remixed Recording. The film itself has been recognized with a nomination for Best Compilation Soundtrack for Visual Media.

These nominations mark a significant moment for K-pop at the Grammy Awards, following superband BTS's nomination in 2023 for "My Universe," a collaboration with Coldplay. Rose's "APT." is featured on her debut full-length album, "rosie," and has achieved global success, topping major music charts in South Korea and internationally. In September, Rose's "APT." also won Song of the Year at the MTV Video Music Awards in the U.S.

"Golden" is performed by Korean American artists Ejae, Audrey Nuna, and Rei Ami as members of the film's fictional girl group Huntr/x. It has set a milestone for K-pop by reaching the top of both the U.S. Billboard Hot 100 and the British Official Singles Chart Top 100.

Additionally, international girl group Katseye, under Hybe, which is the parent company of BigHit, the management agency of BTS, has been nominated for Best New Artist and Best Pop Duo/Group Performance. The acclaimed original musical "Maybe Happy Ending" also received a nomination for Best Musical Theater Album.

The final-round voting to determine the winners will be conducted from Dec. 12 through Jan. 5.
