Pyongyang: Russian President Vladimir Putin has extended New Year's greetings to North Korean leader Kim Jong-un, lauding the "heroic" deployment of North Korean troops in support of Russia's conflict with Ukraine, as reported by North Korea's state media on Thursday. Kim received Putin's message on December 18, which included "wholehearted congratulations" for the new year, according to the Korean Central News Agency (KCNA).
According to Yonhap News Agency, Putin emphasized the significant developments in Moscow-Pyongyang relations over the past year, particularly highlighting the involvement of North Korean troops in the ongoing war with Ukraine.
