Putin Expresses Desire to Revitalize South Korea-Russia Relations

Moscow: Russian President Vladimir Putin expressed his hope to restore relations with South Korea during a ceremony for new ambassadors in Moscow. This statement was made in the presence of Seoul's new envoy to Russia, Lee Sok-bae.

According to Yonhap News Agency, Putin acknowledged the deterioration of the positive capital previously built between Russia and South Korea. He noted that the countries had achieved commendable progress in trade and business through pragmatic approaches in the past. Putin expressed his desire for both nations to return to such cooperative interactions and rebuild their bilateral ties.

This statement is seen as a significant move amid the current global political climate, indicating Russia's interest in strengthening economic and diplomatic relations with South Korea.
