Seoul: President Lee Jae Myung is set to hold a press conference early next month to mark the first anniversary of his inauguration, as announced by a senior presidential official on Wednesday. The event, scheduled for June 8 at Cheong Wa Dae, will provide President Lee with an opportunity to review the accomplishments of his first year in office and outline his policy vision and key objectives for the upcoming year. A question-and-answer session with reporters will follow his remarks.
According to Yonhap News Agency, the press conference is anticipated to run for at least one hour and 40 minutes and will be attended by over 100 local and international journalists. Lee Kyu-youn, the senior presidential secretary for public relations and communication, emphasized the significance of this event as it marks President Lee's fourth press conference since his inauguration on June 4, 2025.
The planned agenda for the press conference includes discussions on three major topics: the economy, politics and diplomacy, and social and cultural issues. This comprehensive approach aims to address key areas of interest and concern for both the domestic and international communities.
