Seoul:President Lee Jae Myung held a meeting with World Bank Group President Ajay Banga to explore ways to enhance cooperation in fields such as artificial intelligence (AI) and energy, as reported by the presidential office.

According to Yonhap News Agency, the meeting took place at Cheong Wa Dae during Banga's visit to South Korea, which coincides with the Global AI and Digital Summit organized by the World Bank Group in collaboration with South Korea's finance and science ministries.

During the meeting, President Lee expressed his desire for stronger global collaboration in AI, commending the World Bank's contributions and expressing South Korea's willingness to further support the bank's efforts. Ajay Banga highlighted that his visit also focused on discussing industrial development strategies with South Korean officials to foster job creation and leverage private-sector resources.
