Seoul: Operations of the Gyeongui-Jungang Line, a commuter rail service of the Seoul metropolitan area, were suspended or delayed Friday due to a power supply accident, its operator KORAIL said.
According to Yonhap News Agency, the accident occurred at 8:19 a.m., when a ladder truck parked at an apartment complex in the western ward of Seodaemun fell onto the power supply system of the train line between Gajwa Station and Sinchon Station, KORAIL said.
The accident caused disruptions to the operations of some commuter and KTX trains running between Seoul Station and Haengshin Station in Goyang, some 20 kilometers northwest of the capital, the company added.
