Nvidia’s Jensen Huang Explores AI Collaboration with South Korean Gaming Leaders

Seoul: Nvidia Corp. Chief Executive Officer Jensen Huang met with the leaders of South Korea's major gaming companies to explore potential collaborations beyond the gaming sector, focusing on artificial intelligence (AI). On the third day of his four-day visit to South Korea, Huang engaged with industry leaders and gaming fans, demonstrating Nvidia's commitment to expanding its presence in AI and gaming.

According to Yonhap News Agency, Huang held separate meetings with Krafton Executive Director Chang Byung-gyu and NCSOFT CEO Kim Taek-jin. Huang and Kim made a brief appearance before a gathering of fans, where Huang garnered cheers by mentioning NCSOFT's upcoming game Aion 2. NCSOFT also organized a user event featuring key developers of Aion 2, where they showcased the game's future development plans.

During his visit, Huang also stopped by an internet cafe to meet with Krafton's chief AI officer, Lee Kang-wook, and the head of the company's popular game, PUBG: Battlegrounds. Discussions reportedly centered on potential cooperation using Nvidia's RTX Spark platform for premium Windows laptops and exploring physical AI technologies. Earlier this year, Krafton launched Ludo Robotics, a subsidiary focused on AI-driven robotics.

Since his arrival in South Korea, Huang has actively interacted with the gaming community, signaling Nvidia's growing interest in the gaming and AI sectors. On the first day of his trip, he visited the T1 e-sports team, including star player Faker, and enjoyed a meal with Hyundai Motor Group Executive Chair Euisun Chung at a renowned Korean noodle restaurant in central Seoul.

In addition to his meetings, Huang participated in a ceremonial event, throwing the first pitch at a baseball game hosted by the Doosan Bears at Jamsil Baseball Stadium in Seoul. Nvidia maintains a strong partnership with Doosan Group in the AI sector, particularly through its collaboration with Doosan Robotics Inc.
