Nvidia CEO Concludes South Korea Visit Focusing on AI Partnerships

Seoul: Nvidia Corp. CEO Jensen Huang concluded his five-day visit to South Korea on Tuesday, emphasizing the expansion of partnerships with leading Korean technology companies within the artificial intelligence (AI) ecosystem. Huang left from Gimpo International Airport, expressing satisfaction with the trip and underscoring the robust collaborations Nvidia has established with Korean firms.

According to Yonhap News Agency, during his visit, Huang announced significant collaborations, including a multiyear technology partnership with SK Group and AI cloud initiatives with Naver and SK Telecom. These partnerships are part of Nvidia's strategy to strengthen its position in the AI sector in South Korea.

Huang humorously remarked on his future visits, noting that his "barbecue pork and fried chicken friends need a break," but he is eager to return for further discussions on potential cooperation. His itinerary included meetings with prominent figures such as SK Group Chairman Chey Tae-won, Hyundai Motor Group Executive Chair Euisun Chung, LG Group Chairman Koo Kwang-mo, and Naver Chairman Lee Hae-jin. Huang also engaged with Science and ICT Minister Bae Kyung-hoon, startup leaders in gaming and robotics, and researchers to enhance collaboration within South Korea's AI landscape.
