Seoul: Naver Corp. announced that its Chief Executive Officer (CEO) Choi Soo-yeon, along with five other senior officials, have collectively purchased 700 million won (US$482,000) worth of Naver shares in the market. This move is part of their efforts to exhibit responsible management.
According to Yonhap News Agency, CEO Choi acquired 786 shares valued at 200 million won on Monday. Additionally, five other executives, including Chief Financial Officer Kim Hee-cheol and Chief Operating Officer Kim Bom-jun, each invested approximately 100 million won in Naver shares. Since assuming office in 2022, Choi has accumulated a total of 700 million won in company stock purchases.
This decision follows Naver's announcement of its intention to repurchase treasury stocks and enhance cash dividends for shareholders. The company emphasized its commitment to strategies that reinforce corporate social responsibility and the exploration of new business models to navigate the evolving industrial environment.
