Seoul: North Korea fired at least one unidentified projectile toward the East Sea on Tuesday, according to South Korea's military.

According to Yonhap News Agency, the Joint Chiefs of Staff detected the launch but did not provide further details. The incident follows a previous launch where North Korea fired ballistic missiles toward the East Sea on January 4. This earlier event coincided with President Lee Jae Myung's departure for Beijing for summit talks with Chinese President Xi Jinping.
