Pyongyang: North Korea has confirmed the test-firing of its Hwasong-11 Ra surface-to-surface tactical ballistic missile, an event attended by leader Kim Jong-un. The test aimed to evaluate the missile's warhead capability, as reported by Pyongyang's state media on Monday.
According to Yonhap News Agency, the Korean Central News Agency (KCNA) released the report following South Korea's military detection of multiple short-range ballistic missiles launched toward the East Sea. The missile launch occurred at approximately 6:10 a.m. from the Sinpho area in North Korea.
Kim Jong-un expressed "great satisfaction" with the outcomes of the test-launch. He noted that the test holds significant importance for enhancing the high-density striking capability to target specific areas precisely, as highlighted in the KCNA report.
