Pyongyang: The powerful sister of North Korean leader Kim Jong-un has expressed her appreciation for South Korea's recent pledge to prevent future drone incursions into North Korean territory. She has also vowed to enhance the country's vigilance along the border with South Korea.

According to Yonhap News Agency, Kim Yo-jong, who serves as a vice department director in the party, made her statement through the Korean Central News Agency (KCNA). Her comments came a day after South Korea's Unification Minister Chung Dong-young expressed regret over the drone incursions into the North and announced measures to prevent their recurrence.

Kim remarked, "I highly appreciate Chung Dong-young, minister of unification of the ROK, officially acknowledged the ROK-born drone's provocative intrusion into the airspace of our country, expressing regret once again and willingness to prevent a recurrence." She emphasized the importance of guarding the border with the "enemy" and committed to increasing vigilance along the inter-Korean border.
