Mixed Trends in KOSPI 200 as Many Companies Report Declines

Seoul: The KOSPI 200 Index exhibited mixed trends today, with several companies experiencing fluctuations in their stock prices. Notably, LG Display saw an increase, closing at 12,230, up by 10 points. On the flip side, companies such as SamyangFood and CJ CheilJedang reported declines, closing at 1,311,000 and 209,500, down by 44,000 and 5,000 points respectively.

According to Yonhap News Agency, the market showed resilience in some sectors. POSCO INTERNATIONAL and KAL recorded gains, closing at 52,100 and 21,100, up by 900 and 100 points, respectively. LG Corp. and HANAFINANCIALGR also experienced positive movement, ending the day at 78,400 and 90,800, marking increases of 700 and 1,300 points.

Conversely, several companies faced downward trends. TaekwangInd and Nongshim saw significant declines, closing at 788,000 and 441,500, down by 26,000 and 12,500 points. Shinsegae and LotteChilsung also closed lower, with decreases of 7,000 and 2,700 points, finishing at 209,000 and 119,700.

The day witnessed varied performances across different sectors. Notably, SAMSUNG SDS and HD HYUNDAI ELECTRIC showed upward trends, closing at 167,800 and 780,000, up by 1,000 and 30,000 points. Meanwhile, companies like AMOREPACIFIC and SK Innovation faced downturns, closing at 126,400 and 111,000, down by 4,500 and 300 points.

Overall, the KOSPI 200 index illustrated a day of fluctuations, with some companies gaining while others saw declines, reflecting the dynamic nature of the stock market.
