Seoul: The KOSPI 200 index witnessed a day of varied movements among its listed companies, with both gains and losses recorded across several sectors. Investors saw significant fluctuations in the stock prices of major companies, reflecting a complex market environment.

According to Yonhap News Agency, among the notable gainers was Kakao, which saw its stock price rise by 1,850 to close at 41,950. NC also experienced an increase, closing at 289,500 after a rise of 5,000. LGCHEM recorded the highest increase, with its stock price jumping by 22,500 to finish at 367,000. NAVER and HYUNDAIGLOVIS also performed well, with their prices increasing by 29,000 and 9,500 respectively.

On the downside, some companies faced declines in their stock prices. HANMISemi experienced a significant drop of 10,500, closing at 282,000. HYUNDAI ROTEM's stock price fell by 5,500, ending the day at 200,500. L and F and GS also saw their prices decrease by 900 and 1,600 respectively. LIG Defense and Aerospace encountered a substantial drop of 55,000, closing at 801,000.

Other companies like Kangwonland, KIWOOM, and Hanwha Ocean also noted declines in their stock prices, with Kangwonland dropping by 40 to close at 15,030 and KIWOOM decreasing by 500 to 370,500. Despite some declines, the index reflected an overall dynamic trading session with both advancements and setbacks among its major players.
