Seoul: Mercedes-Benz Korea on Monday introduced a centralized nationwide vehicle sales system that standardizes pricing and integrates various customer channels, marking a shift from its previous dealership-led model.
According to Yonhap News Agency, the new model, dubbed Retail of the Future, replaces the conventional structure in which individual dealers set prices and promotions with a unified system offering a single nationwide price for each vehicle, the company said in a press release.
Under the system, customers can check real-time vehicle inventory, pricing, and promotions, and begin purchase processes digitally.
The automaker said the change is designed to eliminate price discrepancies between dealerships, improve transparency, and provide a more consistent purchasing experience.
The company said its 11 authorized dealership partners will continue their collaboration to handle offline customer services, such as consultation, delivery, and sales support.
"Mercedes-Benz Korea will deliver a more transparent and consistent customer experience while establishing a new standard for car sales," said company Chief Executive Officer (CEO) Mathias Vaitl.
