Seoul: The KOSPI 200 index saw considerable declines as major companies reported significant losses in their closing prices. The financial market experienced a downturn with several key players showing substantial drops.
According to Yonhap News Agency, KEPCO closed at 33,650, down by 2,550. Samsung Securities reported a decline, closing at 93,000, a decrease of 8,400. Hyundai Elevator ended at 68,000, showing a loss of 3,000. Hankuk Carbon saw a decrease of 2,500, closing at 20,200.
Samsung SDS reported a significant drop, closing at 200,500 with a decrease of 17,000. Korea Aerospace faced a downturn with its closing price at 143,000, down by 3,200. Kumho Tire and Hanon Systems both experienced losses, closing at 5,920 and 3,355 respectively.
SK had a notable decline, closing at 541,000, a drop of 82,000. Coway ended at 91,200, down by 1,100, while POSCO DX closed at 18,020, decreasing by 1,520. Lotte Shopping reported a closing price of 122,700, losing 6,500.
Other companies such as IBK, Dongsuh, and Lotte also reported declines, closing at 20,400, 26,050, and 22,650 respectively. Lotte Chilsung faced a decrease of 1,200, closing at 99,700. CosmoChem and Samsung Engineering and Architecture also experienced downturns in their closing prices.
Samsung C and T reported a significant drop of 34,500, closing at 305,000. PanOcean, Samsung Card, and Cheil Worldwide reported declines as well, closing at 5,060, 47,450, and 18,820 respectively. Lotte Wellfood, KT, and LG Uplus also saw decreases in their closing prices.
Samsung Life ended at 285,000, down by 26,500, while KT and G closed at 181,700, losing 900. Doosan Enerbility reported a decline, closing at 64,700, a decrease of 6,200. LG Display and Paradise also faced losses in their closing prices.
Kangwonland, NAVER, and Kakao reported declines, closing at 14,350, 210,000, and 35,650 respectively. NC experienced a drop of 7,500, closing at 225,000. Kiwoom and Hanwha Ocean also saw significant decreases in their closing prices.
Hanmi Semiconductor reported a loss of 25,000, closing at 179,500. DWEC, KEPCO KPS, and LG Household and Healthcare also faced downturns, closing at 13,430, 44,250, and 255,500 respectively.
