Seoul: Lottechilsung on Monday reported its first-quarter net profit of 25.3 billion won (US$17.2 million), marking an increase of 368.5 percent from the previous year.

According to Yonhap News Agency, the company also announced an operating income of 47.8 billion won for the January-March period, which represents a 91.2 percent rise compared to the same period last year. Additionally, the company's revenue increased by 4.6 percent, reaching 952.5 billion won.

The financial results surpassed market expectations, as analysts had projected an average net profit of 18.9 billion won, based on a survey conducted by Yonhap Infomax, the financial data arm of Yonhap News Agency.
