Seoul: Lotte Shopping Co., an affiliate of South Korean retail giant Lotte Group, on Friday reported its fourth-quarter net profit of 114.5 billion won (US$78.3 million), swinging from a loss of 1.01 trillion won a year earlier.

According to Yonhap News Agency, the company stated in a regulatory filing that operating income for the October-December period rose 54.7 percent on-year to 227.7 billion won. Sales increased 1.3 percent to 3.52 trillion won.

The operating profit was 3.6 percent lower than the average estimate, according to a survey by Yonhap Infomax, the financial data firm of Yonhap News Agency. The estimate of net profit was not available.
