LIV Golf Team Rebrands as Korean Golf Club, Emphasizes Unity and Cultural Heritage

New york: Iron Heads Golf Club, a team in the LIV Golf league led by veterans of South Korean origin, has been rebranded as Korean Golf Club for the upcoming season.

According to Yonhap News Agency, the change was announced by LIV Golf on Monday, citing Korea's growing impact on the global golf scene as the primary reason for the rebrand.

The rebranding emphasizes themes of honor, inclusivity, and collective strength. LIV Golf's statement highlighted the inspiration drawn from the Korean concept of brotherhood, which values respect, trust, and guidance within close relationships. This new identity celebrates unity and togetherness, underscoring the connective power of golf.

Korean Golf Club, previously known as Iron Heads Golf Club, consists of a captain and three other members. In 2025, the team was captained by Korean American Kevin Na and included Danny Lee, Jang Yu-bin, and Jinichiro Kozuma. Despite their efforts, the team finished last among 13 teams, leading to Jang losing his spot for the upcoming season.

Recent rumors linking Kim Si-woo, a prominent South Korean golfer, to LIV Golf were dispelled when he committed to the PGA Tour's Sony Open. However, there is speculation that Korean Golf Club may add a new South Korean player before the new season begins in Riyadh on February 7.

Industry sources have indicated that as many as three South Korean players could join LIV Golf this year. Among them is An Byeong-hun, a seasoned PGA Tour veteran with notable achievements on the DP World Tour. Additionally, Song Young-han and Kim Min-kyu have been linked to potential moves to LIV Golf, bringing further South Korean talent to the tour.

Alongside the rebranding, Korean Golf Club introduced a new logo featuring "Baekho," the white tiger, and the rose of Sharon, South Korea's national flower. The white tiger symbolizes strength, protection, and resilience in Korean folklore, while the rose of Sharon represents the nation's enduring spirit and beauty.

LIV Golf, which launched in 2022, has been expanding its international presence, having held its first tournament in South Korea in May 2025. Although initial reports suggested a return to South Korea in 2026, the official schedule has yet to confirm such an event. The tour plans to reveal two additional venues for the 2026 season at a later date.
