Dusseldorf: LG Electronics Inc. announced the introduction of its new advanced material at a major plastics trade show in Germany. The company showcased LG PuroTec, an antimicrobial glass powder, at K 2025, a prominent plastics and rubber trade show held in Dusseldorf.

According to Yonhap News Agency, LG PuroTec can be integrated into various materials, including plastic, paint, and rubber, to provide antibacterial and antifungal properties. This innovation helps in preventing odor, contamination, and discoloration that are typically caused by microbial activity.

LG Electronics highlighted that the material remains effective even when used in small quantities and can be effortlessly mixed with different base substances. This characteristic enhances its applicability across various manufacturing industries, making it a versatile solution for manufacturers looking to incorporate antimicrobial properties into their products.
