Goyang: LG Electronics Inc. announced its collaboration with Korea Aerospace Industries (KAI) Ltd. to develop a next-generation flight simulator utilizing advanced micro LED display technology. This partnership aims to leverage LG's Magnit micro LED display technology in conjunction with KAI's expertise in flight simulation.

According to Yonhap News Agency, the two companies formalized their partnership by signing a memorandum of understanding (MOU) on Monday during the Seoul International Aerospace and Defense Exhibition (ADEX) 2025 at KINTEX in Goyang. The agreement focuses on integrating LG Electronics' Magnit display technology with KAI's simulation capabilities to create a micro LED-based visual system for aviation training.

The Magnit display technology by LG Electronics features micro LEDs that are thinner than a human hair, which produce their own light and color, resulting in ultra-clear visuals. This technology is expected to significantly enhance the immersive experience of pilot training simulators.

At the exhibition, the companies presented a concept model of the simulator, which includes a 4.2-meter wide and 1.35-meter tall screen at KAI's booth. The collaboration also aims to develop a curved LED display system specifically optimized for next-generation flight simulators to further improve the realism and immersion of pilot training programs.
