Seoul: President Lee Jae Myung will have a lunch meeting with former President Moon Jae-in at Cheong Wa Dae next week, a presidential spokesperson announced Thursday. Lee and Moon, both prominent figures of the ruling Democratic Party, are scheduled to meet at the presidential office compound next Wednesday.
According to Yonhap News Agency, presidential spokesperson Kang Yu-jung confirmed the meeting during a press briefing, but did not provide further details regarding the agenda or topics to be discussed. The meeting takes place as the Democratic Party anticipates the selection of a new party leader at an upcoming party congress in August.
