Seoul: Democratic Party candidate Lee Jae-myung is anticipated to secure approximately 50 percent of the vote in the upcoming South Korean election, maintaining a lead of at least 7.5 percentage points over People Power Party candidate Kim Moon-soo, based on projections from four different polls.
According to Yonhap News Agency, a poll conducted by JTBC suggests that Lee Jae-myung will obtain 50.6 percent of the vote, compared to Kim's 39.4 percent. Similarly, a Channel A poll indicates Lee's lead with 51.1 percent of the vote against Kim's 38.9 percent.
Further supporting these projections, an MBN poll estimates Lee will secure 49.2 percent of the vote, while Kim is expected to achieve 41.7 percent. In addition, a joint exit poll by KBS, MBC, and SBS shows Lee leading with 51.7 percent compared to Kim's 39.3 percent.
Lee Jun-seok, representing the New Reform Party, is predicted to receive 7.9 percent, 8.7 percent, and 7.8 percent in the JTBC, Channel A, and MBN polls, respectively. The JTBC poll reports a margin of error of 0.9 percentage points, while the Channel A poll indicates a margin of error of 0.93 percentage points, both maintaining a 95 percent confidence level.
