Lee Jae Myung Concludes Diplomatic Visit to France

Seoul: President Lee Jae Myung returned home Thursday from a trip to France, where he held a summit with French President Emmanuel Macron and discussed ways to strengthen bilateral cooperation.

According to Yonhap News Agency, Lee made a four-day trip to France starting on Sunday. The visit included a two-day state visit to Paris for a summit with Macron at the Elysee Palace. During the summit, the two countries signed a dozen memorandums of understanding and pacts aimed at enhancing cooperation in various sectors such as artificial intelligence, nuclear energy, defense, and culture.

The visit by President Lee reciprocated an earlier visit by President Macron to Seoul in April. This year marks the 140th anniversary of the establishment of diplomatic ties between the two nations, further underscoring the significance of the meetings and agreements reached during Lee's visit.
