Accra:President Lee Jae Myung has appointed a new vice industry minister and a deputy chief for the Financial Services Commission (FSC).
According to Yonhap News Agency, Park Dong-il, a senior official from the Ministry of Trade, Industry, and Resources, has been named vice minister. Shin Ji-chang, a senior official at the FSC, has been appointed as the commission's vice chairman. These appointments were announced by presidential spokesperson Kang Yu-jung.
The spokesperson described Park as an expert in industry policy with extensive experience in planning and coordinating industrial policies. It is hoped that Park will lead the country's efforts to achieve leadership in strategic industries. Shin, on the other hand, is recognized as a career official with expertise in both the financial and industrial sectors. His experience includes financial programs for low-income individuals, small merchants, and the housing market.
