Leaders of South Korea and Kenya Discuss Economic and Development Cooperation

Evian-les-bains: South Korean President Lee Jae Myung and Kenyan President William Ruto engaged in summit talks on Wednesday, focusing on economic and development cooperation. The discussions took place on the sidelines of the Group of Seven summit in Evian-les-Bains, France.

According to Yonhap News Agency, the leaders agreed to strengthen sustainable cooperation to foster coexistence and shared growth between South Korea and Kenya. The South Korean presidential office highlighted infrastructure, energy, transportation, water management, and irrigation as key areas for expanding collaboration.

President Ruto expressed a particular interest in seeing more active participation from South Korean companies in Kenya's economic development. The talks underscored a mutual interest in enhancing bilateral ties by leveraging each country's strengths and opportunities in various sectors.
