Barcelona: The Korea Trade-Investment Promotion Agency (KOTRA) will operate a special booth for Korean companies at the upcoming Mobile World Congress (MWC) to help them showcase their technologies in artificial intelligence (AI), robotics, and other areas, agency officials said Tuesday. The Korea Pavilion will feature 131 Korean companies, including startups specializing in AI, virtual reality, robotics, wireless communications, semiconductors, and other technologies.
According to Yonhap News Agency, major Korean tech firms, including Samsung Electronics Co., SK Telecom Co., KT Corp., and LG Uplus Corp., are also scheduled to attend the event. MWC is one of the world's largest ICT shows, with attendance of some 2,900 companies from 205 countries planned for this year's event, themed "The IQ Era."
KOTRA said it will also hold a business pitching event for Korean startups to help them attract investment and explore business opportunities in global markets.
