Seoul:The KOSPI 200 stocks experienced a varied trading session on Wednesday, with some companies recording gains and others facing declines.
According to Yonhap News Agency, notable performances included HD Hyundai Heavy Industries, which saw a significant increase of 4,500 KRW, closing at 433,500 KRW. Another positive performer was SK hynix, which rose by 11,000 KRW to end at 1,776,000 KRW. POSCO Future M also experienced a rise, gaining 3,400 KRW to close at 178,800 KRW.
In the biopharma sector, Hanall Biopharma increased by 850 KRW, closing at 44,100 KRW. Samsung SDI Co., Ltd. and POSCO Holdings each gained 4,000 KRW and 2,000 KRW, closing at 515,000 KRW and 306,000 KRW, respectively.
Conversely, several stocks fell in value. Samsung Fire & Marine Insurance dropped by 20,000 KRW to 633,000 KRW, and DB Insurance decreased by 6,600 KRW, closing at 185,000 KRW. Other notable declines included Nongshim, which fell by 7,000 KRW to 403,500 KRW, and LS with a decrease of 7,000 KRW to 308,500 KRW.
Hyundai Motor was also among the decliners, dropping by 5,000 KRW to close at 345,000 KRW. Samsung Electronics experienced a decrease of 4,000 KRW, ending the day at 268,500 KRW.
