Seoul:Lisa Su, CEO of Advanced Micro Devices Inc. (AMD), is anticipated to travel to South Korea next month for discussions with local semiconductor firms and government officials.
According to Yonhap News Agency, Su's visit will follow her previous trip to South Korea in March by approximately seven months. A key meeting is being planned for October 8 in Seoul, which will likely include the participation of CEOs from major South Korean AI semiconductor companies such as Rebellions Inc., FuriosaAI, and Mobilint.
Additionally, Su is expected to engage in discussions with Science Minister Bae Kyung-hoon during her visit. Meetings with top executives from significant South Korean companies, including Samsung Electronics Co., are also being arranged.
In March, Su met with Samsung Electronics Chairman Lee Jae-yong. Samsung Electronics has been supplying HBM3E chips to AMD for its latest AI solutions since 2025, maintaining a strong business partnership between the two corporations.
