Seoul: Wednesday's closing prices for the KOSPI 200 stocks on the main Korea Stock Exchange presented a mixed outcome with several stocks experiencing gains while others saw declines. Notable increases were observed in companies such as SKBP, which rose by 2,200 KRW to reach a closing price of 108,400 KRW, and Hyundai Motor, which increased by 3,500 KRW to close at 204,500 KRW. POSCO Holdings also showed a significant rise, gaining 5,500 KRW to close at 242,000 KRW.
According to Yonhap News Agency, other companies such as KCC and TCC Steel saw modest gains, with KCC rising by 500 KRW to 252,500 KRW and TCC Steel increasing by 350 KRW to close at 26,000 KRW. Samyang Food emerged as one of the top gainers, closing at 704,000 KRW with an increase of 5,000 KRW. Meanwhile, POSCO Future M saw a substantial rise of 6,500 KRW, closing at 131,500 KRW.
On the downside, SeAH Steel Holdings faced a drop of 3,500 KRW, closing at 218,000 KRW. Other companies such as AmoreG and MiwonComcl experienced minor declines, dropping by 200 KRW each to close at 22,950 KRW and 163,600 KRW, respectively. KEPCO E and C also saw a decrease, falling by 1,600 KRW to close at 67,600 KRW.
Additionally, stocks like DB Insurance and Hyundai Department Store also recorded declines. DB Insurance dropped by 1,100 KRW to close at 98,900 KRW, while Hyundai Department Store fell by 600 KRW, closing at 52,400 KRW. The mixed performance highlights the varying trends in the market, reflecting both growth and challenges for different sectors.
