Seoul: The KOSPI 200 stocks experienced a mixed trading session on Wednesday, with several companies witnessing declines in their stock prices on the Korea Stock Exchange. Among the notable decliners were KumhoPetrochem, SKC, and SamsungSecu, among others, as the list of closing prices indicated varied performance across different sectors.
According to Yonhap News Agency, KumhoPetrochem closed at 122,200 KRW, reflecting a decrease of 3,800 KRW. Similarly, SKC and SamsungSecu also faced declines, with their closing prices at 101,100 KRW and 75,300 KRW, dropping by 1,400 KRW and 4,400 KRW, respectively. Other stocks experiencing downturns included MIRAE ASSET SEC, Mobis, and HDC HOLDINGS.
In contrast, Hanwha Aerospace and Samsung SDS saw increases in their stock prices. Hanwha Aerospace ended the trading session at 854,000 KRW, up by 6,000 KRW, while Samsung SDS closed at 187,400 KRW, registering a rise of 3,400 KRW. Meanwhile, NAVER and HankukCarbon also recorded gains, albeit more modestly.
The stock performance reflects varied market conditions affecting different sectors, with numerous companies such as Lotte Shopping, Doosan Enerbility, and Kakao experiencing declines. The closing prices indicate fluctuating investor sentiment and market dynamics impacting the KOSPI 200 stocks.
