KOSPI 200 Stocks See Mixed Performance Amid Market Volatility

Seoul: The KOSPI 200 stocks on the main Korea Stock Exchange experienced varied outcomes at the close of trading on Friday, reflecting a fluctuating market environment.

According to Yonhap News Agency, several stocks closed higher, while many others saw declines. Notable gainers included TaekwangInd, which rose by 50,000 KRW to close at 873,000 KRW, and SK hynix, which gained 48,000 KRW, ending at 909,000 KRW. CJ also saw a significant increase of 13,000 KRW, closing at 217,500 KRW. Other stocks that recorded gains included MIRAE ASSET SEC, Daewoong, SamsungF and MIns, CJ LOGISTICS, Shinsegae, KT, CheilWorldwide, LOTTE WELLFOOD, and HANKOOK and COMPANY.

Conversely, several stocks experienced declines. SamyangFood saw a decrease of 36,000 KRW, closing at 1,180,000 KRW. Other significant decliners included DOOSAN, which fell by 38,000 KRW to 851,000 KRW, and HyundaiEng and Const, which dropped 6,100 KRW to 102,600 KRW. Additional stocks that closed lower included SKC, KAL, LG Corp., POSCO INTERNATIONAL, CJ CheilJedang, Youngpoong, Hanwha, HANALL BIOPHARMA, Kogas, HITEJINRO, Yuhan, SLCORP, Nongshim, POSCO FUTURE M, LOTTE Fine Chem, HYUNDAI STEEL, DL, KIA CORP., DONGSUH, LG Uplus, SamsungE and A, SAMSUNG C and T, SAMSUNG CARD, PanOcean, and ASIA HOLDINGS.
