Seoul: The KOSPI 200 stocks experienced varied movements in Thursday’s trading session on the main Korea Stock Exchange. Several stocks recorded gains, while others faced declines, reflecting a mixed market sentiment.
According to Yonhap News Agency, KIA Corp. saw an increase in its share price, closing at KRW 98,400, up by KRW 1,500. POSCO INTERNATIONAL also noted a rise, ending at KRW 51,700, which is an increase of KRW 300. LG Corp. experienced a positive change, with its stock rising by KRW 400 to close at KRW 75,600. Other gainers included POSCO FUTURE M, which surged by KRW 8,400 to reach KRW 132,400, and Shinsegae, which climbed KRW 1,600 to KRW 177,600.
On the downside, Daewoong’s shares fell by KRW 300, closing at KRW 26,700. SamyangFood experienced a more significant drop of KRW 5,000, ending at KRW 1,192,000. CJ CheilJedang also faced a decrease of KRW 500 to close at KRW 246,000. Similarly, TaekwangInd saw a decline of KRW 8,000, bringing its share price to KRW 1,042,000.
Additional movements included HD Hyundai Heavy Industries, which increased by KRW 1,500, reaching KRW 419,500. Meanwhile, SamsungElec experienced a decline of KRW 400, closing at KRW 59,500. In contrast, DB INSURANCE saw a significant increase of KRW 7,100, ending the day at KRW 118,800.
Overall, the KOSPI 200 stocks presented a mixed picture in Thursday’s trading session, with some companies witnessing gains while others faced declines amidst the market’s fluctuations.
