Seoul: The KOSPI 200 index, representing the top 200 companies on the Korea Stock Exchange, experienced a day of mixed trading on Tuesday. Notable movements included a significant rise for SK hynix and HyundaiEngandConst, while several other stocks faced declines.
According to Yonhap News Agency, SK hynix saw an increase of KRW 10,000, closing at KRW 1,793,000. HyundaiEngandConst also enjoyed a positive movement, ending the day at KRW 131,400, up by KRW 4,500. Meanwhile, Daesang rose by KRW 90 to close at KRW 18,910, and KCC increased by KRW 1,500, reaching a closing price of KRW 500,000.
On the downside, KOLMAR KOREA experienced a substantial decrease of KRW 3,300, ending at KRW 141,000. Other notable decliners included SamsungFandMIns, which fell by KRW 9,000 to close at KRW 647,000, and HyundaiMtr, which dropped by KRW 8,000 to a closing price of KRW 385,000. LS and POSCO Holdings also saw significant declines, with LS decreasing by KRW 14,000 to KRW 302,500 and POSCO Holdings falling by KRW 7,000 to close at KRW 328,500.
The day also saw minor fluctuations in several other stocks. For instance, Youngpoong decreased by KRW 200 to KRW 39,250, while ORION Holdings fell by KRW 50, closing at KRW 25,500. On the other hand, SeAH Steel Holdings managed to rise by KRW 800, closing at KRW 106,300. The market's mixed performance reflects a day of diverse trading outcomes among the KOSPI 200 constituents.
