Seoul: The KOSPI 200 stocks showcased a variety of movements on Wednesday as they closed on the main Korea Stock Exchange with both gains and declines. Prominent companies like SK hynix and HanmiPharm saw significant increases, whereas Hyundai Motor and Taekwang Industrial experienced notable drops.
According to Yonhap News Agency, SK hynix closed at 2,521,000 KRW, marking an increase of 139,000 KRW. HanmiPharm also registered an upward movement, closing at 446,500 KRW with a rise of 21,000 KRW. Other gainers included Hanwha Engine and SKBP, which increased by 6,200 KRW and 1,700 KRW respectively.
In contrast, several stocks faced declines. Hyundai Motor saw a decrease of 22,000 KRW, closing at 618,000 KRW. Taekwang Industrial also dropped by 15,000 KRW, ending at 921,000 KRW. Notable declines were observed in companies like SeAH Steel Holdings and Asia Holdings, which saw reductions of 6,800 KRW and 7,500 KRW, respectively.
Other stocks like Youngpoong and Hyundai Engineering and Construction also registered decreases, while POSCO Future M and DB HiTek experienced slight increases. The mixed outcomes reflect the dynamic nature of the market on Wednesday.
