Seoul: The KOSPI 200 index saw a varied performance in Monday's trading session, with several stocks experiencing significant changes in their closing prices. Notable movements were observed across key sectors, reflecting market volatility.
According to Yonhap News Agency, stocks such as COWAY and SamsungF and MIns showed gains, closing at 104,900 KRW and 454,000 KRW, respectively. These increases were marked by a rise of 700 KRW for COWAY and a significant 10,000 KRW jump for SamsungF and MIns. Meanwhile, Hanwha Ocean witnessed a notable increase of 4,400 KRW, closing at 116,400 KRW.
On the downside, SK hynix experienced a decrease, with its closing price dropping by 13,000 KRW to 256,000 KRW. Similarly, NCsoft saw a decline of 9,800 KRW, closing at 193,200 KRW, while COSMAX and KIWOOM also faced reductions of 5,500 KRW and 5,000 KRW, closing at 211,000 KRW and 200,500 KRW, respectively.
Other stocks like Samsung C and T and Doosan Enerbility also recorded decreases, with Samsung C and T dropping by 1,400 KRW to 166,400 KRW and Doosan Enerbility falling by 2,100 KRW to 59,600 KRW. Conversely, KT and G stood out with an increase of 2,400 KRW, closing at 137,100 KRW, contributing to the mixed performance observed in the market.
Overall, the KOSPI 200 index displayed a mix of upward and downward trends, reflecting the dynamic nature of the stock market.
