Seoul: Thursday's trading session on the Korea Stock Exchange saw a mixed performance among KOSPI 200 stocks, with some companies experiencing notable gains while others faced declines. Among the top performers, DN AUTOMOTIVE surged by 3,350 KRW, closing at 32,000 KRW.
According to Yonhap News Agency, other significant gainers included HANMISemi, which rose by 19,000 KRW to close at 209,500 KRW, and TaekwangInd, which saw an increase of 239,000 KRW, ending at 1,187,000 KRW. POSCO Holdings and OTOKI also posted substantial gains, closing at 383,000 KRW and 405,000 KRW, respectively.
Conversely, emart recorded the largest decline among the stocks, dropping by 10,000 KRW to settle at 117,600 KRW. HyundaiMtr and SAMSUNG EPIS HOLDINGS also faced losses, with their prices decreasing by 3,000 KRW and 5,000 KRW, respectively. GS E and C and CJ LOGISTICS were among the other companies that closed in negative territory.
Several stocks such as SKC and Mobis remained unchanged during the trading session. Overall, the market showcased a blend of advances and retreats, reflecting varied investor sentiment across different sectors.
