Seoul: Monday’s trading session on the Korea Stock Exchange saw mixed results for KOSPI 200 stocks, with several notable movements among prominent companies.
According to Yonhap News Agency, SK hynix experienced a decline of 600 KRW, closing at 180,200 KRW. Hyundai Engineering and Construction, on the other hand, saw an increase, ending at 38,600 KRW, up by 400 KRW. Samsung Fire and Marine Insurance reported a significant rise, closing at 348,500 KRW, up by 6,000 KRW.
Among other notable movements, HANALL BIOPHARMA increased by 550 KRW, reaching 27,950 KRW. Kogas also closed higher at 35,750 KRW, with an increase of 900 KRW. In contrast, KCC saw a decrease, closing at 241,000 KRW, down by 500 KRW.
The trading session also highlighted gains for Hanwha, which climbed by 1,400 KRW to close at 43,450 KRW, and CJ CheilJedang, which increased by 500 KRW to reach 232,000 KRW. Meanwhile, companies like AmoreG and TCC Steel saw no change in their stock prices.
Other companies such as SamyangFood and Taekwang Industrial posted increases of 17,000 KRW and 8,000 KRW, closing at 920,000 KRW and 678,000 KRW, respectively. Despite these gains, Miwon Commercial faced a substantial drop, closing at 182,900 KRW, down by 17,100 KRW.
The session concluded with several other stocks showing varied results, reflecting a day of mixed performances across the board on the Korea Stock Exchange.
